Xiaomi has launched its latest tablets in the Pad 2 Pro series, the REDMI Pad 2 Pro and REDMI Pad 2 Pro 5G in India, delivering on its earlier promise. Both tablets feature a large 12.1-inch 2.5K display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with support for Dolby Vision, DC dimming, and triple TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light (hardware solution), Flicker-Free, and Circadian Friendly viewing.
The tablets are equipped with a quad-speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res Audio, along with a volume boost of up to 300% for a more immersive multimedia experience. They are powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 Mobile Platform, a significant upgrade over the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 used in the previous generation. Running Android 15 with HyperOS 2, the devices are promised five years of Android OS updates and seven years of security patches.
Xiaomi is also offering a range of accessories, including the REDMI Smart Pen, which supports 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity and millisecond-grade ultra-low latency. The REDMI Pad 2 Pro Keyboard features spacious 16×16mm keys, 1.3mm key travel, and a 19mm key pitch, and even includes a built-in loop to keep the stylus easily accessible.
Powering the REDMI Pad 2 Pro series is a massive 12,000mAh (typical) battery—one of the largest ever used in Xiaomi tablets globally. It supports 33W fast charging and also offers 27W wired reverse charging, allowing the tablet to double as a portable power bank for other devices while on the go.
