Samsung has launched its latest mid-range smartphone in the A series, the Galaxy A27 5G for the global market, after rumors. It comes with a refreshed design, upgraded performance, and a wider range of AI-powered features. Succeeding the Galaxy A26 5G, the new smartphone delivers improvements across the display, hardware, camera capabilities, and long-term software support.
Refined Design and Display
The Galaxy A27 5G sports a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, offering smoother animations, scrolling, and gaming. Samsung has also upgraded the front design by adopting an Infinity-O display with a punch-hole camera, replacing the previous notch-style design.
Thinner and more symmetrical bezels contribute to a more immersive viewing experience, while the handset maintains a slim 7.8mm profile for comfortable handling.
Performance and Camera Upgrades
Powering the Galaxy A27 5G is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, built on a 4nm process. Samsung says the chipset delivers improved graphics performance for gaming and multimedia workloads, while enhanced memory technology enables faster data access and improved power efficiency.
The front camera has also been upgraded to a 12MP sensor designed to deliver improved dynamic range and more accurate colors in a variety of lighting conditions.
Expanded Awesome Intelligence Features
Samsung is bringing more Galaxy AI experiences to its mid-range lineup through its "Awesome Intelligence" suite, making several advanced features more widely accessible.
- Circle to Search: Built in collaboration with Google, the feature now supports recognizing multiple objects simultaneously and introduces a virtual try-on experience for clothing.
- Object Eraser: Samsung has enhanced its built-in photo editing tool with improved precision for removing unwanted objects from images.
- Voice Transcription: The Voice Recorder app now supports simultaneous transcription and translation in 22 languages.
- AI Assistant Support: Users can choose between Google Gemini and Perplexity as their preferred AI assistant. Samsung has also enhanced Bixby with conversational capabilities, allowing users to navigate phone settings using natural language commands.
Software and Security
Samsung has committed to providing up to six generations of Android OS and One UI upgrades, along with six years of security updates, helping extend the device's software lifespan.

Pricing and Availability
The Samsung Galaxy A27 5G will be available in Black, Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink colors. Pricing starts at USD 349.99 (approximately Rs. 33,010) or EUR 349 (approximately Rs. 37,410), depending on the market.
The smartphone is scheduled to go on sale in select markets beginning July 3. Samsung has also confirmed that Samsung Care+ protection plans will be available alongside the device at launch.
