Its that time of the year again, Samsung Galaxy S5 is going on sale today globally in 125 countries including India. According to the company the Galaxy S5 will be available in US, Europe, Middle East, Latin America and most Asian countries.
In terms of specs the Galaxy S5 comes packed with a 5.1-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, Octa-core Exynos 5422 processor with 2 GB RAM running Android 4.4 KitKat. The US variant comes with LTE connectivity and quad-core Snapdragon 801 SoC. There's a 16 MP ISOCELL camera at the back which reduces focusing time, 2800 mAh battery alongwith IP67 certification for dust and water resistance. You also get a unique heart-rate sensor at the back alongwith fingerprint scanner which has finally become useful with PayPal certification.
The Galaxy S5 went on pre-order in India on March 29th and today the company will start shipping those orders. The price of the Galaxy S5 in India has been fixed at Rs. 51500 MOP with 15% cashback for Citibank Credit card users. Its now available in India.
