Vivo has also launched its first foldable smartphone the Vivo X Fold in China along with the Vivo X Note smartphone. It has a large 8-inch 2K+ foldable display with 120Hz LTPO Samsung E5 AMOLED panel, UTG glass and an outer display has a 6.53-inch FHD+ 21:9 E5 AMOLED screen with 120Hz refresh rate. It has an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner on both the inside and outside screens. It runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor with 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, and is based on Android 12 with OriginOS Ocean.
The phone also has VC liquid cooling, a graphite thermal conductive sheet, and a thermally conductive gel. The VC plate is also extended to the battery compartment for better cooling, as per the company. This phone also has an alert slider switch, the same as oneplus smartphones.
According to the company, As for the most critical hinge part of the folding phone, Vivo has decided to build it on the basis of the waterdrop-shaped solution that has become more and more popular recently. There is an integrated floating mid-plate of the same material as the zirconium alloy that acts as a “skeleton”. This mimics the bird’s wing. When the phone is opened, the middle plate will rise to “lift up” the crease in the middle of the inner screen, making the surface smoother, says the company.
The phone is powered by a 4600mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging, and 50W wireless charging, and also has 10W reverse wireless charging.
