Vivo X50 and X50 Pro

Last week, Vivo has confirmed to introduce its latest flagship smartphone and the successor of the Vivo X30 series is the Vivo X50 series smartphone. After that Company has released a teaser image and the video of the phones on their official Weibo account and it will be announced on June 1 in China.


Now, Vivo has finally shared some images of the phone that confirms quad rear cameras setup in square module for both the Vivo X50 and X50 Pro smartphones with a periscope lens. But only the Vivo X50 Pro comes with gimbal-like OIS stabilization technology, which is the world's first smartphone in the market. It also shows a single punch-hole screen with a curved display.

The company already confirmed the Vivo X50 series will be the first phone that comes with the latest 50MP Samsung ISOCELL GN1 with f/1.6 aperture and has a periscope lens with f/3.4 aperture for 5x optical zoom and 10x hybrid zoom.

Vivo X50 Pro camera has an innovative staking solution to save up to 40% board area to reduce the thinness by 1mm. The company uses a double ball suspension technology that 300% more stable as compared to normal OIS techniques used in the phone. The camera has 5-axis OIS with X- and Y-axis tilt angles up to 3° each and 3.2 times better than the traditional OIS offering gimbal-like video image stabilization (VIS). It uses 0.7mm dual S-type camera connector.

According to the rumors, the X50 series runs on Exynos 990 processor, but it did not clear the company would go with Samsung this year or move to Snapdragon 865 processor. The screen of the phone could be expected FHD+ AMOLED display with an in-display fingerprint scanner and a gradient glass back but it doesn’t have a 3.5mm audio jack. We should know more details and the specifications of the phone in the upcoming weeks.
