Asus today showed us its complete portfolio for 2015-16 for India at its #ZenFestival event in New Delhi. These include 5 new smartphones, glimpses of which we have seen before at various tech-events around the world. The Zenfone Selfie, Zenfone 2 Laser 5.5, Zenfone 2 Laser 6.0 and the Zenfone 2 Deluxe.
The huge event was held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Delhi, and the event was presided over by Jerry Chen, CEO of AsusTek and Eric Shen - Global VP at AsusTek alongwith Bollywood Diva Sonakshi Sinha.
But lets get back to the phones. So there are five phones which cater to different price brackets and different customers in mind. This is for the first time that Asus has parted ways from Intel, and used Qualcomm Snapdragon and MediaTek chipsets in its offerings.
The Zenfone Selfie is aimed at selfie lovers with 13MP front and rear cameras, dual-tone LED flash. Zenfone Laser variants come with Laser AutoFocus like the LG G4/G3 and run on Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor instead of Intel Atom processor found in the rest of the Zenfone series. The Zenfone 2 Deluxe has the same specs as the 4GB RAM variant of Zenfone 2 ZE551ML but with new back-covers which have polygonal design patterns in three finishes, White, Illusion Blue and Illusion Red and price at Rs 22,999.
