Google Fit App

Google first started talking about activity tracking seriously at I/O and now we are seeing the first results. After the Google Fit SDK was made public, the Google Fit app is now available in the Play Store. The app alongwith the other apps that make use of the Fit SDK help collect all fitness stats at the same place, which can be seen on your phone of at google.com/fit.

At present the app is bare-bones, but with additional third party apps and devices pouring in more information would make Google Fit quite a comprehensive fitness tool. Apple Health was also released with iOS 8 but it has yet to take off, something Google might have a close eye on especially with Apple's close ties with Nike and Adidas.
