Although all three manufacturers jumped the gun a bit, Google has now formally announced Android One smartphone from Micromax, Spice and Karbonn. The Android One handsets from the three manufacturers feature the exact same specs but differ in design. Micromax is calling its Android One handset Canvas A1, Spice is going with the most ridiculous naming scheme imaginable, get this, Spice Android One Dream Uno Mi-498 while Karbonn is simply going with Sparkle V (don't ask what that 'V' stands for). They would all come at the same price of Rs. 6399, atleast initially.
Karbonn Sparkle V
All three handsets are dual-SIM 3G capable, come with expandable storage, 5 MP primary/2 MP front cameraswith a 1700 mAh battery. They run Android 4.4.4 KitKat and will receive updates from Google.
Micromax Canvas A1
The Micromax Canvas A1 will be exclusively available through Amazon.in and Spice Android One Dream UNO Mi-498 (sheesh!) on Flipkart, both in black and white colors.

The Karbonn Sparkle V in Magnum Blue, Mild Grey, Wild Red and Pearl White will be available on Snapdeal. All three will be available at 3:30 PM starting today, September 15 and will be exclusively available online for the first 15 days after which they would hit retail outlets.
