Apart from the Nexus 6 and Android Lollipop, Google also launched the HTC-made Nexus 9 tablet for $399. HTC was again tapped as a partner for the Nexus 9 tablet featuring a 8.9-inch tablet running Android 5.0 Lollipop.
Unlike previous Nexus tablets the Google Nexus 9 features a 4:3 aspect ratio 8.9-inch display with a resolution of 2048x1536 pixels. The tablet is powered by a 2.3 GHz Nvidia Tegra K1 processor with Kepler DX11 GPU and 2 GB RAM. It comes with very thin bezels and metallic sides. There's a 8 MP rear camera and a 1.6 MP front-camera available on the Nexus 9.
There's also a Keyboard cover which doubles as a stand and can be used to prop up the tablet to be used on your lap.
The HTC Nexus 9 will be available on pre-order starting October 17 and will go on sale on November 3rd priced at $399 with 16 GB storage and $479 with 32 GB storage. The LTE model will cost $599 when available.
