Motorola Snapdeal Amazon

Motorola is finally giving up its Flipkart exclusivity in India, making way for broader availability of its smartphones. Motorola will start selling its smartphones on Amazon and Snapdeal as well starting Friday.

Amit Boni, General Manager - Motorola India had earlier hinted about retail availability of Motorola smartphones alongwith expansion in the online space. Moreover, the company will be selling its smartphones through large-format stores in the country such as Reliance and Airtel stores.

At present we don't know exactly which smartphones will be available for sale. We have confirmed this move with Motorola and will have more information soon.

Update: Motorola has sent out a press release, confirming what we told you earlier. But at present only the Moto E (2nd-Gen) 2015 will be sold through Amazon, Snapdeal as well as through Reliance and Airtel stores. Moto X Play, Moto G 3rd-Gen will remain as Flipkart exclusives for the time being.

Mr. Amit Boni, General Manager, Motorola Mobility India added:

Responding to growing demand from our consumers we have made a strategic move of increasing the availability of our portfolio across offline and multiple online shopping platforms. To start off, we will be available at select stores for our consumers to experience and purchase the device. Consumers are at the heart of whatever we do and we will leave no stone unturned to enhance their buying experiences.

Although Motorola has said that the Moto E (2nd Gen) will be available starting tomorrow, September 25, Snapdeal has already started selling it.
