Asus has launched a new variant of the Zenfone 5 in India priced at Rs. 7999. The new Zenfone 5 (A501CG) comes with a 5-inch HD display, 2 GB RAM and a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor instead of the 1.6 GHz dual-core processor found on the original Zenfone 5. The Zenfone 5 Lite which was launched earlier came with 1 GB RAM and a 5-inch qHD display instead of the 2 GB RAM and HD display found on the new Zenfone 5.
Since this is the same processor we get with the Zenfone 4, you can expect slightly better battery life due to lower clock frequency. Moreover, there's no headset within the box.
The Zenfone 5 (A501CG) comes with Gorilla Glass protection for the front panel, 8 MP rear and 2 MP front camera, 2110 mAh battery and will be available for purchase starting today on Flipkart for Rs. 7999.
