Samsung Galaxy J1 launching in India on February 11th with several launch day offers on Amazon. The Galaxy J1 was unveiled last week and comes with a 4.3-inch WVGA display and is powered by a 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor running Android 4.4 KitKat. Sadly there's just 512 MB RAM onboard and 4 GB internal storage, but for the storage part it is expandable up to 64 GB.

Samsung Galaxy J1 Specs and Photos

The Galaxy J1 comes with a 5 MP auto-focus rear camera and a 2 MP front camera. There's just a 1850 mAh battery inside, but for the low powered chipset and small display it should be sufficient. Connectivity options include dual-SIM support, 3G HSPA+, WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

For the price of Rs. 7190 the Galaxy J1 faces stiff competition from the likes of Lenovo A6000 and the Zenfone 5 (1.2 GHz). All these smartphones come with better specs, better displays and better build as well. Its strange what Samsung is thinking about pricing in India. If they don't get their act together soon they will loose a huge marketshare to the likes of Motorola, Asus and Xiaomi in India.

The Galaxy J1 will be available starting tomorrow at Amazon India for Rs. 7190 but there is no word on the "Exciting Offers" that will be available. All we know now is that it will be available in Black, White and Blue colors.
