Samsung has just launched the Galaxy J7+, its second dual camera smartphone with mid-range pricing. The Galaxy J7+ packs a 5.5-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with 2.5d curved glass protecting it. But the highlight of the phone are the dual rear cameras. A 13MP main camera with f/1.7 aperture lens along with a secondary 5MP camera to capture depth information.

The second camera on the back also enables live focus, using which you can change the focus of an image after it has been captured. You can increase or decrease the amount of bokeh you want in the image as well.

Samsung hasn't skimped on the selfie camera either, there's a 16MP front camera here with f/1.9 aperture to get better images in lower light.

Now the processor here is not confirmed, but from what we can gather the 2.39GHz octa-core processor on the Galaxy J7+ is the MediaTek Helio P20 built on a 16nm process with Mali-T880 GPU. We have seen this processor perform well in day to day use and is quite power efficient as well. There's 4GB RAM accompanying it along with 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card slot.

The Galaxy J7+ (J7 Plus) is a dual SIM smartphone, supports 4G VoLTE, has dual-band WiFi available as well along with Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. There's no NFC on the device, therefore Samsung Pay won't work on it, even though it has a fingerprint sensor.

Coming to the battery, there's a non-removable 3000 mAh pack here which supports fast charging.

The Samsung Galaxy J7+ has been launched in Black, Gold and Rose Gold color options priced at 12900 Thai Baht (Rs. 25000, $385) and will be available on pre-order till September 17th in Thailand. It will be going on sale September 22nd and you will get a free Samsung U-Flex Headphone on pre-ordering. At present, there is no word on an India launch.
