Sony has just taken the wraps off the the Xperia M4 Aqua, a thin and light, dust and water resistant Android Lollipop running smartphone. Its a high-end mid-ranger which packs a 5.0-inch 720p HD IPS display, powered by the new 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 615 chipset, with Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB RAM.
The Xperia M4 Aqua was launched alongwith the 10.1-inch Xperia Z4 tablet. Both are dust and water resistant with IP68 certification meaning they can withstand being submerged under 1.5 meters of water for up to 30 minutes. Moreover, both also feature cap-less microUSB ports for fast charging and data-transfer.

If we talk of design, its similar to the Xperia Z3 with strengthened corners and tempered glass in the front and back.
The M4 Aqua packs a 13 MP Sony camera at the back with LED flash alongwith a 5 MP snapper at the front for selfies. It comes with 4G LTE support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS running Android 5.0 Lollipop right out of the box. Moreover, the Xperia M2 Aqua comes with a 2400 mAh battery which according to the company can last up to 2 days with normal usage.
The Sony Xperia M4 Aqua will be available globally in April with a choice of white, black, coral and silver colors. The retail price is expected to be around $250 (Rs. 15800 or EUR 229)
