Xiaomi toady announced that it has chosen India for a Global Mi Phone launch event. The event will be held on April 23rd at Siri Fort Auditorium in New Delhi, India. 10 Mi Fans will get a chance to attend the event with free tickets and have a special one-on-one with Hugo Barra. The registration link for the event reads "i IS COMING" which doesn't say much, but given that both CEO & Co-Founder Lei Jun, President & Co-Founder Bin Lin alongwith VP Xiaomi Global, Hugo Barra will be present at the event, we are expecting something big.
You can register for the event at Mi.com/in with a few questions about Mi devices and entering your personal details. If you are a lucky winner, then you would get a physical ticket in your mail. The event has been scheduled at 2:30 PM IST to be held at Siri Fort Auditorium in Asiad Village Complex in New Delhi.
Finally, people that said that India is just a dumping ground for Xiaomi, can seal their lips and close their traps shut.
