Xiaomi is all set with its April 23 Global Mi Phone launch event where the company is expected to launch a few new products including a smartphone. Now, according to certification and benchmark listing, the new Xiaomi phone might be the Mi 4i (hint: i Is Coming).
The Xiaomi Mi 4i tipped to launch at the event comes with a 4.9-inch 1080p full-HD display powered by a 64-bit 4G LTE capable Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.65 GHz with 2 GB RAM. This might seem a bit under-powered when you factor in the Xiaomi Mi 4 which comes with the 2.5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 and 3 GB RAM. But the Mi 4i will run Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with MIUI 6 right out of the box.
The Mi 4i closely resembles the specs of the Xiaomi Ferrari smartphone which leaked earlier through benchmarks tests.
The April 23 event is huge for Xiaomi since the company's CEO & Founder Lei Jun, President & Co-founder Bin Lin as well as VP Xiaomi Global Hugo Barra will be present here in India. Xiaomi's success sounds like a fairy tale, but behind that there is clever marketing and excellent products.
