Xiaomi has again managed a huge feat, they have sold 6 million units of the Mi Band fitness and sleep tracker. Back in April we heard that the company was able to sell 4 Million units and just two months that has risen to 6 million.
There's more to cheer here. According to a report from IDC, Xiaomi now can boast of a 25% market share among all wearables in Q1 2015. It is now the second largest wearable manufacturer after Fitbit. What's even more incredible is that Xiaomi was able to do this in less than a year.
We have heard that Xiaomi is working on a new Mi Band with a display alongwith a smartwatch. Given that Android Wear smartwatches never really took off, Xiaomi still has a chance in this space. We will keep a lookout for everything Xiaomi, stay tuned.
