Cyanogen OS 12.1 update based on Andoid 5.1 Lollipop is in the final stages of testing for both the YU Yuphoria and Yureka. It will resolve issues with the proximity sensor on the Yuphoria, resolve some heating issues and also make the camera work better on both devices.

YU has already started beta testing Cyanogen OS 12.1 update on both devices and is in the final stages of testing. If there are no major hurdles, you can expect the update to arrive later this month. You can have a look at our review of the Yuphoria and Yureka below. The issues we faced with both devices were mainly heating while gaming and the proximity sensor not working correctly on the Yuphoria.

Rahul Sharma, Co-founder and CEO of YU had this to say on the company's official forum:

A very limited set of devices had issues with proximity sensor. We have addressed this now and will be providing patches which include the auto calibration of proximity sensor. We also have an updated firmware for the keyboard to improve typing and gestures. Additionally, the entire camera stack has been rebuilt with reworked camera tunings. This will greatly improve the camera to capture more details under various lighting conditions. Apart from these, few more auxiliary enhancements like audio, dialler, thermal performance have been added.

Moreover you can go ahead and install CyanogenMod 12.1 Nightlies on your Yureka or Yuphoria and it won't void your warranty.
