Xiaomi has begun sending out press invites for Redmi 1S launch in India. There are two event scheduled, one in Bangalore on August 25th and the other in New Delhi the next day. The Redmi 1S features mid-range specs at an entry-level price of Rs. 6999.

The Redmi 1S is expected to be launched at Rs. 6999 which will make it the best smartphone available in terms of specs in the sub Rs. 10000 price point. The only caveat here is whether Xiaomi will have enough units available for sale. The availability of the Mi3 has become a sore point among online shoppers.
