LG has just stolen Motorola's thunder, they are ready with the G Watch R. You guessed it. The G Watch R is a round dial smartwatch running on Android Wear. The original G Watch was just a proof of concept aimed at showing off what Android Wear can do.
In the meantime all the press coverage went to the Moto 360 with its round dial, aluminium build and overall a completely different take on what a smartwatch should be. But LG has been cooking the G Watch R for quite some time now, quite possibly even before the Moto 360 was announced. Although there is no word on specs, design and price. It would be great to see the only real competitor to the 360 launch just hours after.
Things are definitely heating up at IFA 2014.
