Samsung Galaxy Note II Review at Engadget

This thing is the real deal, and it's decisively better than the device that began the whole phablet craze. With SIM-free versions starting in the ballpark of £530, it's a bit on the pricey side, but for good reason: it offers best-in-market performance, an S Pen experience that blows its predecessor out of the water, a solid OS in Jelly Bean and plenty of other features that will make this a tempting offer to even the most petite-handed individual. To do so in a package that's actually thinner and narrower than the first Note is a tremendous accomplishment, and one that'll be hard to match. Get ready to have your cake and eat it too. Samsung Galaxy Note II Review at TechHive

The Samsung Galaxy Note II has a lot going for it: With its fast processor, huge display, and great battery life, the Note II makes for a stellar multimedia machine that you won't have to charge in the middle of the day. The Note II's S Pen and pen-optimized apps can be used for both creativity and productivity, and are really the defining features of the handset. The phone's larger size won't appeal to everyone, but I recommend you try the phone and S Pen themselves before dismissing a relatively solid handset. Read more...

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 offers a range of improvements over its predecessor with a bigger screen, beefed-up processor, the latest version of Android and a bigger battery. When we reviewed the original Galaxy Note, we came away thinking it was a nice niche device. More than 10 million units later, it's clear that big-screen phones are here to stay. The Note II is more compelling than its predecessor because Samsung rewards you in many more ways for carrying a larger device--from the vastly improved pen experience and quad-core performance to the multiview multitasking and longer battery life. It's actually pretty astonishing just how improved this sequel is given that we reviewed the first Note in February. Read more...

Samsung Galaxy Note II Review at PCMag

The Galaxy Note II for T-Mobile ($369.99 direct, after a $50 mail-in rebate) is many things, but above all, it's the most phone there is. It gives you more screen, more processor, and more OS than just about any other phone out there. It's also a significant improvement over the first Galaxy Note, thanks to a faster quad-core processor and Android 4.1 "Jelly Bean" OS, not to mention a host of Samsung-developed note-taking software improvements. If you think other phones are too small, and prefer something big enough to double as a miniature tablet that (barely) fits in your pocket, the Galaxy Note II reigns supreme. It's the first recipient of our Editors' Choice award for phablets (phones with screen sizes ranging from 5.0 to 6.9 inches). Read more...

Samsung Galaxy Note II Review at CNET

Oodles of screen real estate make the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 terrific for videos, games, and reading; and its improved stylus aids productivity. A blazing quad-core processor, a great camera, and strong battery life round out the advantages of this Android 4.1 phone. The huge display makes the Galaxy Note 2 unwieldy to carry, and hiccups in the S Pen stylus and apps can slow you down. The pricey Note 2 isn't a suitable tablet replacement across all categories.
