Apple has just revealed the much-anticipated Apple Watch Ultra 2, following last year's Watch Ultra, and it comes loaded with fresh enhancements and features. The Ultra 2 introduces the robust S9 SiP, a novel double tap gesture, a brighter display, an extended altitude range, and more.
The Watch Ultra 2 features an Always-On Retina display with a maximum brightness of 3000 nits, which is 50 percent brighter than its predecessor and represents Apple's brightest display ever. It operates on watchOS 10, which brings forth a suite of redesigned apps, the new Smart Stack, exciting cycling experiences, and functionalities tailored to enhance outdoor exploration.
The formidable S9 SiP integrated into the Watch Ultra 2 brings systemwide improvements and introduces the ingenious double tap gesture. By simply double-tapping their index finger and thumb, users can effortlessly control their Ultra 2, streamlining common actions and making them more convenient.
The watch has undergone rigorous testing to ensure its suitability for use in extreme environments, demonstrating its reliability at altitudes ranging from 500 meters below sea level to an astonishing 9,000 meters.
A noteworthy feature of the Watch Ultra 2 is the ability to process Siri requests directly on the device, resulting in faster and more dependable responses for tasks such as initiating a workout or setting a timer. Furthermore, Siri can access and record health data from the Health app, enabling users to effortlessly monitor their progress and make health-related inquiries.
