CMF has launched the CMF Headphone Pro in India, marking its debut in the over-ear headphones segment. As previously teased, the new headset stands out with a modular design, distinctive physical controls, and an impressive battery life.
Design and Controls -
The CMF Headphone Pro adopts a modular construction, most notably through its swappable ear cushions, allowing users to personalize both comfort and appearance. The headphones are available in three colour options: Light Grey, Dark Grey, and Light Green.
Instead of relying on conventional buttons or touch gestures, CMF has equipped the headset with dedicated physical controls for a more tactile experience:

- The Roller - A rotating dial for volume adjustment, switching Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) modes, and controlling play/pause.
- The Energy Slider - A unique slider that lets users instantly tweak bass and treble levels without opening the companion app.
- Customisable Button - A programmable button that can be assigned to functions such as enabling Spatial Audio or launching an AI assistant.
Audio Performance and ANC -
Audio is handled by custom 40mm drivers with nickel-plated diaphragms and a copper voice coil. The Headphone Pro supports High-Resolution Audio and the LDAC™ codec, enabling Bluetooth streaming at bitrates of up to 990 kbps.

The headset features Hybrid Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation, which is claimed to reduce ambient noise by up to 40dB, with the system automatically adjusting the level of noise cancellation based on the surroundings.
It also includes “Personal Sound” powered by Audiodo technology, which creates a tailored sound profile based on the user’s hearing through the Nothing X app. Spatial Audio is supported as well, with Cinema and Concert modes on offer.
Battery and Charging -
CMF claims the Headphone Pro can deliver up to 100 hours of playback on a single charge with ANC turned off, while enabling ANC reduces the battery life to around 50 hours.
Fast charging is supported, offering up to 8 hours of playback from just a 5-minute charge (with ANC off). The headphones can also be charged directly from a smartphone using a USB-C to USB-C cable, adding to their convenience.
