Google Play Music is getting better at recommending music with the new version which also brings a revamped UI.

The re-designed homescreen now shows recommendations based on what you listen and shows what you may enjoy. Google is also using machine learning to enable Play music to automatically suggest what the user may like. Then there are expert-curated music playlists as well.

Offline playback has been improved as well, which would automatically try to sync tracks in the background when you are connected to a WiFi network so that you are never out of tunes. There is a localization aspect to music as well with the updated app which figures out where you are and plays tracks accordingly.

The fresh take on the music app is appreciated, but let's see how that works in real life. Google has already started rolling out the new app and it should be available on most devices in the coming weeks.
