HONOR has revealed additional details about its upgraded AI Image to Video 2.0 feature, set to debut with its upcoming smartphone in the 600 series, HONOR 600 Pro 5G and HONOR 600 5G in the Global Market. The company claims this update introduces the industry’s first on-device unified multi-modal video generation model, designed to enhance mobile content creation with more advanced capabilities.

The new version builds on insights from the HONOR 400 Series, where users reportedly created over 13.4 million seconds of AI-generated video. Version 2.0 focuses on improved interactivity, better storytelling control, and wider accessibility.
Technical Overview -
The HONOR 600 Series incorporates a multi-modal visual-language system directly on the device. It can process multiple input types—including text, images, and video—combining video understanding, generation, and editing into a single streamlined workflow.

HONOR states that the system leverages deep semantic understanding, allowing users to control it through natural, conversational prompts. It also emphasizes visual consistency, using multi-angle subject modeling and flexible composition techniques to ensure smooth, coherent video output even during complex transitions or camera movements. Enhanced privacy and data protection measures are also part of the system.
Key Features and Improvements -
The AI Image to Video 2.0 update introduces four major enhancements:
- Image + Prompt to Video: Users can upload up to 3 reference images and guide the video creation process with natural-language instructions for precise control over scenes.
- Start-to-End Frame Generation: By selecting opening and closing frames, the AI can generate a seamless transition video between them, with durations ranging from 3 to 8 seconds.
- Expanded Templates and Effects: Includes preset styles, multi-frame transitions, and advanced cinematic effects such as bullet time, Hitchcock zoom, and world transformation.
- Dedicated AI Button: A new hardware shortcut enables one-tap access to the feature. With customization, users can also activate it via long press from the gallery or while browsing images on apps like X, WhatsApp, and Instagram.
Campaign and Launch Details -
To highlight the storytelling potential of the feature, HONOR has released a promotional street interview video themed around “unfinished dreams,” demonstrating how still images can be transformed into dynamic video content.
The HONOR 600 Series is scheduled for a global launch event in Malaysia on April 22nd at 3 PM MYT (12:30 PM IST).
Availability Notes: The AI Image to Video feature will be introduced through an OTA (Over-The-Air) update. HONOR states that performance may differ depending on environmental factors and usage conditions. Availability of the feature—including any free trial offers during the initial sales phase—may vary by region. After the trial period, continued access could require a paid subscription.
