iQOO 15 Ultra launched with 6.85-inch 2K 144Hz AMOLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, Active cooling fan, Gaming triggers

iQOO has launched its latest flagship smartphone in the 15 series, the iQOO 15 Ultra in China, focusing on high-end gaming performance, as previously teased by the company. It features a 6.85-inch 2K+ flat OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and 8T LTPO technology.

It uses Samsung’s M14 luminous material and supports 2160Hz full high-frequency PWM dimming, a 3200Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate, and a 360Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate. The display delivers up to 2600 nits of brightness in HBM mode and peaks at 8000 nits.

The phone adopts 2K LEAD OLED technology, which enables lower power consumption, higher brightness, a slimmer panel structure, and improved environmental efficiency. iQOO also introduces its first Pleasing Eye Protection 2.0 system, featuring a non-polarized natural light display, hardware-level gaming eye protection, and an industry-leading minimum brightness of just 1 nit, according to the company.

Performance and Gaming -

Powering the device is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, optimized in collaboration with Qualcomm. iQOO claims the phone scores over 4.51 million points on AnTuTu 11. The dedicated Q3 gaming chip enables true 2K gaming visuals, simultaneous 2K + 144FPS gameplay, and native super-resolution and super-frame support for seven officially supported games. The iQOO 15 Ultra is available with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X Ultra Pro RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

For thermal management, the phone is equipped with an Ice Dome Cooling System, featuring a custom 59-blade cooling fan measuring 17 × 17mm. It also includes an 8000mm² ultra-large vapor chamber, dual-layer high-conductivity graphite, and a one-tap global cooling mode designed to sustain peak performance.

Gaming Triggers and Controls -

The iQOO 15 Ultra introduces a new generation of super-sensitive gaming controls, combining shoulder buttons, gyroscope input, and advanced touch response for a system-level, multi-dimensional control experience.

• Super-Sensitive Shoulder Buttons - 600Hz sampling rate with response times as low as 32ms in supported games
• Super-Sensitive Gyroscope - 500Hz sampling rate paired with iQOO’s proprietary motion algorithm for precise real-time movement tracking
• Super-Sensitive Touch - Up to 4000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and 480Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate

In partnership with the official Delta Force game, iQOO has also introduced zoned touch optimization for skill buttons and wheel areas, reducing missed inputs while improving wheel and crosshair return accuracy.

Camera -

The iQOO 15 Ultra is equipped with a 50MP Sony primary camera with OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP Sony pro-grade periscope telephoto camera. On the front, it houses a 32MP selfie camera. The rear camera system uses an ultra-thin prism triple-reflection M-shaped optical path design, balancing image quality with ergonomic comfort.

According to iQOO, the camera system is enhanced by NICE algorithms and large-scale image quality optimization to deliver a cinematic imaging experience. Additional features include Live Photos, AI visual effects, and more.

Design -

The phone is available in 2049 and 2077 colour options and incorporates multiple futuristic design elements:

• Energy Matrix - Sci-fi-inspired hexagonal honeycomb texture
• Deco Capsule - Transparent camera deco showcasing internal modules, paired with slow-pulsing energy light blades
• Build - Extra-large R-angle curves, AG micro-frosted back with AF coating, and a low-temperature matte metal frame
• L-Shaped Charging Cable - Designed to avoid interference when gaming in landscape mode

Speakers and Vibration -

The phone features new War Drum Master coaxial symmetrical dual speakers, where each speaker integrates both high- and low-frequency units, with an independent tweeter embedded at the center of the woofer. Dolby Atmos support debuts on the device, delivering a three-dimensional surround sound experience. AI-based voice recognition helps reduce ambient noise during use.

For haptics, the iQOO 15 Ultra uses a Warhammer MAX dual-axis vibration motor. The 576mm³ 091640 motor supports exclusive 4D vibration effects for 24 characters in Open World Mobile and introduces 22 new dual-axis vibration effects for ultimate skills.

The Energy Light Blade supports eight notification types and 12 color options, with customizable lighting color, speed, duration, and sound pickup effects.

Battery -

The iQOO 15 Ultra packs a 7400mAh single-cell Blue Ocean battery with support for 100W ultra-fast wired charging and 40W wireless fast charging. It is also compatible with PPS and USB Power Delivery standards.
