motorola signature series India launch teaser soon.

Motorola has started teasing a new smartphone with the tagline “premium deserves its signature.” This device is widely expected to be the brand’s next flagship, debuting under a new Signature series that could replace the Edge Ultra lineup.

One teaser image shows a woman in a gold dress standing out among a crowd dressed in monochrome suits, underscoring the message: “Now, in an age where everything looks and feels the same, premium deserves its signature.” Another teaser leans heavily on Motorola’s legacy, recalling that “back in 1973, Motorola gave the world its first portable phone,” before tying that milestone to the present with the line, “from that moment, innovation became our signature.”

According to industry sources and recent leaks, the teased device is likely the Motorola Edge 70 Ultra, codenamed Urus, which may either be rebranded or introduced as the first model in a standalone Signature Series.

The smartphone is rumored to be among the first in India to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Expected specifications include a 6.7-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, possibly retaining Motorola’s signature “endless edge” curves or adopting a refined micro quad-curved design. A recent Geekbench listing has also hinted at 16GB of RAM and Android 16.

On the imaging front, the phone is said to feature a redesigned square camera module housing a triple 50MP setup, including a Sony Lytia primary sensor and a high-performance periscope telephoto lens.

Leaked renders point to distinctive colour options such as Carbon and Martini Olive, in line with the teaser’s emphasis on individuality. Premium materials, including vegan leather—now a hallmark of Motorola’s ultra-premium devices—are also expected.

The “Signature” positioning -

By distancing this device from the conventional Edge numbering, Motorola appears to be positioning the Signature phone as a luxury lifestyle product rather than a pure performance-driven flagship. The strong focus on “Signature” hints at personalization, potentially through exclusive Pantone colours or bespoke material finishes that allow users to stand out—much like the gold-clad figure in the teaser.

Launch timeline -

While the Flipkart microsite currently only says “stay tuned,” the phone is expected to launch sometime in January 2026.
