Realme has officially revealed several key specifications of the realme 16 Pro ahead of its India launch scheduled for January 6, 2026, highlighting major upgrades to the camera setup, battery, and overall design.
Camera system: 200MP sensor with AI enhancements -
The realme 16 Pro borrows its primary camera hardware from the higher-end Pro+ variant. It features a 200MP LumaColor camera powered by the Samsung HP5 flagship sensor, supporting Super OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and full-pixel auto zoom for 1×, 2×, and 4× lossless zoom.

The camera system is TÜV Rheinland certified and uses a HyperRAW algorithm to enhance dynamic range across different lighting conditions. For portraits, the phone includes a “five golden focal length” kit, offering 1×, 1.5×, 2×, 3.5×, and 4× zoom options.
Realme has also introduced several software-driven camera features, including:
- Vibe Master Mode, which provides 21 portrait tones tailored for different environments
- AI Edit Genie, enabling edits to hairstyles, backgrounds, and facial consistency
- Advanced video recording, with support for 4K HDR video at 1× and 2× zoom, assisted by the MainTrack Algorithm for subject tracking
Hardware and Performance -
Under the hood, the realme 16 Pro is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G chipset, with the company claiming an AnTuTu score of over 970,000. Thermal control is managed by an AirFlow VC cooling system.
A major highlight this year is the massive 7,000mAh Titan Battery. Despite the large capacity, realme says the phone retains a slim form factor. Battery efficiency is handled by an AI Long-life Battery Chip, along with support for Super Power Saving Mode.
Display and Design -
The device sports a 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, capable of displaying 1.07 billion colours and reaching up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness.
On the design front, realme has once again partnered with renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. The “Urban Wild Design” draws inspiration from natural textures and forms. The phone will be available in Master Gold, Pebble Grey, and Orchid Purple colour options, and it carries an IP69 rating for enhanced dust and water resistance.
Software and Availability -
The realme 16 Pro runs realme UI 7.0, featuring the Flux Engine for smoother system animations. It also includes “NEXT AI” capabilities such as AI Framing Master, AI Recording, and built-in Google Gemini integration.
Pricing and detailed availability, including RAM and storage variants, will be announced at the official launch event on January 6, 2026. The smartphone will be available via Flipkart, realme.com, and offline retail stores across India.
