Realme has officially confirmed that the realme 16 Pro Series will launch in India on January 6, 2026, after a teaser. The next generation of the brand’s popular Number Series is positioned to blend distinctive design elements with a strong focus on high-resolution portrait photography.
Urban Wild Design Collaboration -

For the new lineup, realme has renewed its collaboration with acclaimed industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa. The resulting “Urban Wild Design” combines natural textures with contemporary urban styling.
Key design highlights include:
- Material innovation - An industry-first bio-based organic silicone material.
- Ergonomics - Handcrafted “all-nature” curves designed to enhance in-hand comfort.
- Color options - Four “Master Design” finishes — Master Gold, Master Grey, Camellia Pink, and Orchid Purple.
200MP Portrait Imaging and LumaColor Technology -

Photography is a major focus of the realme 16 Pro Series, with an emphasis on portrait performance. The phones will feature a 200MP Portrait Master system powered by a 200MP LumaColor Camera.
The setup is designed to deliver:
- High-definition portraits for both individuals and groups.
- Improved bokeh effects across multiple focal lengths.
- More natural and accurate skin tones.
Central to this system is the global debut of LumaColor IMAGE, realme’s in-house portrait imaging technology. The company claims to intelligently balance light and color to produce depth-rich images across various real-world scenes. To validate its accuracy, realme has also set up the LumaColor IMAGE LAB in collaboration with TÜV Rheinland.
Teaser images showing 3.5x and 10x zoom suggest the return of a periscope telephoto camera.
Availability -
During the official launch event on January 6, 2026, realme will reveal the complete specifications, pricing, and availability details. Following the launch, the realme 16 Pro Series will be available via Flipkart, realme.com, and offline retail stores.
