OnePlus India has confirmed that its upcoming operating system, OxygenOS 16, will integrate Google’s Gemini models, unlocking a new suite of generative AI features for future OnePlus devices. The company says these on-device AI capabilities are designed to act as “your planner, assistant, and manager – all in one.”
Central to this experience is a new feature called Mind Space, a dedicated hub where users can organize memories and collections. Gemini will be able to draw on this content to perform complex, context-aware tasks.
OnePlus shared an example in which a user asks Gemini to create a 5-day Paris itinerary based on saved content and personal memories stored in Mind Space, demonstrating how the AI can merge planning with personal data.
This marks a significant expansion of OnePlus’s AI ambitions, with the goal of offering more personalized and intelligent smartphone experiences. The new features, including the Gemini-powered Mind Space, will debut with OxygenOS 16. OnePlus has said the rollout is “coming soon,” with details on supported devices and release timelines expected in the weeks ahead.
