Today, POCO has confirmed the launch of its next top-end 5G smartphone in the F series the POCO F5 in India on May 9th, after renders. This will be the first phone in India to launch with a new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 processor, which is a major upgrade compared to Snapdragon 870 in the POCO F4.
The company also posted a teaser revealing the back of the phone, which looks exactly similar to the Redmi Note 12 Turbo that was introduced in China last month.
POCO will also launch the POCO F5 Pro alongside POCO F5 in the Global market at the same time in a separate online event. According to rumors, this will be the rebranded version of the Redmi K60 that was introduced in China back in December with the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor.
The POCO F5 will feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED screen, and the F5 Pro should pack a 6.67-inch 2K 120Hz AMOLED screen. Both these are expected to be powered by a 5000mAh, where the F5 should get 67W fast charging, while the F5 Pro should support 120W fast charging.
