After confirming that the realme GT 8 Pro will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, realme has also announced that the phone will feature a 2K 144Hz Sky Screen from BOE, likely using custom Q10+ luminous material. By comparison, the predecessor, realme GT 7 Pro, relied on a Samsung display.

Leaker Digital Chat Station reports that the GT 8 Pro will use a flat display with a peak brightness of up to 7000 nits, an improvement over the 6000 nits of the previous model. The screen is expected to support brightness as low as 1 nit and include global full brightness DC dimming along with circular polarization.

The device recently cleared 3C certification, revealing 120W fast charging, similar to the GT 7 Pro, but with a battery likely exceeding 7000mAh. It is also expected to include wireless charging, a feature absent in the predecessor.

Previous reports indicate a 6.78-inch flat display, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, IP68 water and dust resistance, dual 115E speakers, and an X-axis linear motor.

In terms of design, realme confirmed a new rear triple-camera module that departs from the usual square or round layouts, giving it a robotic appearance. The module is said to feature two circular lenses alongside a square periscope telephoto unit. The telephoto lens will reportedly house a 200MP sensor, a first for a realme device, while earlier leaks suggested a 50MP main camera and an ultra-wide lens.

More details are expected in the coming days ahead of the official launch of the realme GT 8 series in October.
