Realme has launched its latest top-end smartphone in the GT series the Realme GT5 in China, as they promised. It has a 6.7-inch 1.5K flat T7+ OLED screen from Tianma with 144Hz refresh rate, up to 1450 nits peak brightness, 2160Hz ultra-high frequency PWM dimming, and an In-display fingerprint sensor.
The Pro-XDR high dynamic display employs an advanced flagship algorithm to faithfully recreate the nuances of both bright and dark content. According to the company, it can achieve a remarkable up to 8 times increase in brightness.
Under the hood, this phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB on UFS 4.0 storage, and is based on Android 13 with realme UI 4.0. It also benefits from the Whirlwind memory engine 2.0 support, which can maintain up to 76 app backgrounds simultaneously active.
Remarkably, this is the first mobile phone certified by Pixelworks for the IRX gaming experience, setting a new standard for ultra-high frame rate gaming on mobile devices, as per the company's claims. It utilizes an independent display chip, the X7, which supports frame rates of up to 144 fps, compatible with 110 popular mobile games. Notably, even a demanding game like League of Legends can run in its native 144-frame mode, as mentioned by the company.
To cater to gaming enthusiasts, it features a geek performance panel that allows users to customize CPU frequency and multi-core scheduling. The phone is equipped with a variable heat dissipation system with a maximum cooling area of 20827mm², an Ice core cooling system Max, high-performance graphite materials that enhance heat conduction efficiency by 10% compared to the previous generation, and a 2000Hz gaming control engine customized for players. Additionally, it incorporates an antenna matrix system 3.0 and supports Wi-Fi 7.
The phone is available in two attractive colors, Flowing Silver Mirror and Star Mist Oasis. These colors incorporate Star Mist AG technology, which is a unique liquid silver technology responsible for crafting a fluid metal texture. This technology also involves a linear shift from a glossy surface to a matte one, achieved through a sophisticated six-layer optical coating. Furthermore, it boasts a custom high-precision hexagram AG texture, resulting in a beautifully smooth surface.
The phone features a transparent RGB design comprising 4 halo light strips known as Halo Pro by the company. This design incorporates a transparent film, and the halo RGB system provides a palette of 26 customizable colors. It also introduces new music rhythm and alarm clock light effects, as well as support for 10 exclusive contact and application notification light effects.
For photography enthusiasts, the phone boasts a 50MP Sony IMX890 camera with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), HyperShot 2.0 technology, a Turbo RAW lossless image algorithm, and an upgraded Street shooting mode 3.0. Additionally, it includes a microscope lens, complemented by an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 2MP macro camera.
There are two models available: one with a 4600mAh battery that supports blazing-fast 240W fast charging, making it one of the quickest charging phones available for mass production. This model can charge from 1% to 20% in just 80 seconds, reaching 50% in a mere 4 minutes, and achieving a full charge in approximately 9 minutes. The second model comes with a larger 5240mAh battery that supports 150W charging, allowing it to reach 50% charge in 7 minutes. Additionally, both models feature a SUPERVOOC S power management chip for efficient power optimization.
