Redmi has launched its latest flagship smartphones the Redmi K50 and Redmi K50 Pro in the K50 series in China, as they promised. These have a 6.67-inch 2K OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, Dolby Vision support, and have passed DisplayMate A+ certification, achieving 16 record scores, as per the company.
The Redmi K50 Pro runs on the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9000 processor, and Redmi K50 has a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 SoC with up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and are based on Android 12 with MIUI 13. The K50 series has an all-new stainless steel VC with a total area of 3950mm² and a T-shaped design that covers 72% of the motherboard. These materials, along with other heat dissipation materials such as 7 layers of graphite, copper sheets, and thermal paste.
Both the Phones have a triple rear camera setup where K50 Pro has a 108MP Samsung HM2 primary sensor, while the Redmi K50 has a 48MP Sony IMX582 primary camera with OIS, along with an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro camera. On the front side, both have a 20MP Sony IMX596 punch-hole selfie camera.
There are integrated X-axis linear motors that enable immersive vibration in-game, and also have infrared remote control and multi-functional NFC support. These are powered by a 5000/5500mAh battery where K50 Pro supports 120W fast charging and uses self-developed 4:1 Surge P1 that lets you charge the phone fully in 19 minutes, and the Redmi K50 supports 67W fast charging.
