Xiaomi has launched a trio of smartphones, namely the Redmi K70E, K70, and the high-end K70 Pro, during a launch event in China. The K70 and K70 Pro showcase a collaborative effort with TCL Huaxing, presenting a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED flat screen. This display incorporates the innovative C8 luminescent material, providing a peak brightness of up to 4000 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate.
These smartphones boast support for HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and 3840Hz PWM high-frequency dimming. The screen has received triple TUV Rheinland eye protection certification, along with a remarkable 2160Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate and a 12-bit color display, featuring an extensive 68.7 billion colors.
Under the hood, the Redmi K70 Pro is equipped with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, accompanied by a self-developed Circular cold pump cooling system with a Vapor-liquid separation design. This design incorporates a one-way circulation structure, promising performance three times superior to traditional VC systems. Notably, the phone offers a sizable 5000mm² cooling area, supports up to 24GB LPDDR5X RAM, and accommodates storage capacities of up to 1TB using UFS 4.0 technology. AnTuTu 10 testing has yielded an impressive score of 2.24 million points for this device.
Photography enthusiasts will appreciate the Redmi K70 Pro's triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50MP 1/1.55″ Light Fusion 800 sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP 2x telephoto camera.
Additionally, there is a distinct variant called the Redmi K70 Pro "Automobili Lamborghini SQUADRA CORSE," characterized by a unique design, two color options, and an exclusive customized gift box. This particular model exclusively offers a configuration of 24GB RAM and 1TB storage, and it is set to be available for purchase soon.
The standard Redmi K70 shares a comparable screen but integrates a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, achieving an AnTuTu score of 1.71 million, as per the company's claims. However, it features a maximum of 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and supports storage options of up to 1TB using UFS 4.0 technology. The camera setup includes the same primary camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a replacement of the telephoto camera with a 2MP macro camera.
Both phones showcase an elegant combination of a glass back and a metal frame, housing a robust 5000mAh battery. Notably, they support 120W fast charging, facilitated by the presence of a P2 fast charging chip and a G1 battery management chip. It's worth mentioning that, unlike their predecessors, the K60 and K60 Pro, these models do not include wireless charging capabilities.
