
Xiaomi has officially announced the launch of its next performance-oriented smartphone, the REDMI Turbo 5, in India. According to the company’s latest promotional campaign, the device is set to make its debut on June 16, 2026.
The marketing strategy for the REDMI Turbo 5 highlights speed and efficiency as its primary selling points, accompanied by the tagline, “Fast isn’t just a feature anymore. It’s the default.”

Teaser materials released by Xiaomi outline several key hardware features spanning performance, display, imaging, and battery technologies.

Processor and Memory: The REDMI Turbo 5 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra chipset. It supports up to 24GB of RAM, including up to 12GB of virtual memory expansion depending on the variant. Storage is based on the UFS 4.1 standard and is paired with high-speed LPDDR5X Ultra memory.
Display: The smartphone features a 1.5K Adaptive Fluid Display with a 120Hz refresh rate, designed to deliver smooth visuals while maintaining power efficiency.
Camera System: The rear camera setup consists of a 50MP primary sensor with dual stabilization support, combining Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS). It is accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. For selfies and video calls, the device includes a 20MP front-facing camera.
Battery and Charging: The REDMI Turbo 5 is equipped with 100W HyperCharge fast-charging technology, enabling rapid battery replenishment.
Design and Build
Official renders showcase a flat-edge frame design paired with a clean and minimalist rear panel. The dual-camera arrangement is positioned vertically without a large camera island, while distinctive red accent rings around the lenses complement the device’s motorsport-inspired branding.
The smartphone is also expected to feature a 3D Ice-Loop cooling system with a large 5,300mm² vapor chamber for thermal management. Additional expected highlights include IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance, along with a sizable 6,500mAh battery.
