Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphone in the Turbo series, the REDMI Turbo 5 Max in China, as previously teased.
Display and Design -
The REDMI Turbo 5 Max features a new 6.83-inch 1.5K display made using the latest M10 material, offering improved luminous efficiency, up to 3500 nits peak brightness, and 3840Hz PWM plus DC dual dimming.
The phone is available in Shadow Black, Ocean Blue, Auspicious Cloud White, and Sunshine Orange. It sports a CNC metal frame, a flagship-grade fiberglass back panel, a metal racetrack-style camera Deco, and a dual-ring turbine light strip.
Additional highlights include support for HDR video, an upgraded high-performance antenna system, a professional-grade positioning system, a flagship ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, full waterproofing, and stereo speakers with 3% volume enhancement.
The device also introduces a new “ticket-grabbing mode,” which offers end-to-end optimization and acceleration for more than 12 popular high-frequency usage apps.
Performance -
The REDMI Turbo 5 Max becomes the world’s first smartphone to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s processor. Built on a flagship-grade 3nm process, the chipset features an all-big-core architecture and a large cache. Xiaomi says the phone can deliver a new 2.5K high-frame-rate experience in demanding 3D turn-based mobile games. It also comes with a flagship-class 3D ice-cooling pump and the latest “Rampage Engine” for sustained performance.
Camera -
In the camera department, the REDMI Turbo 5 Max is equipped with a 50MP high dynamic range main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 20MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.
Battery and Charging -
The smartphone packs a massive 9000mAh Xiaomi Jinshajiang battery, which the company claims can deliver up to 11 hours and 10 minutes of usage, rivaling some phones with 10,000mAh batteries. It supports 100W wired fast charging, 100W PPS fast charging, and 27W wired reverse charging.
