Xiaomi has launched its latest smartphone in the Turbo 5 series, the REDMI Turbo 5 in China alongside the Turbo 5 Max, as previously announced.
Design -
In terms of design, the REDMI Turbo 5 features a metal frame paired with a glass back panel. It adopts large rounded corners, narrow bezels, and a balanced weight distribution to strike a balance between durability, premium texture, and comfortable in-hand feel.
The smartphone is available in Shadow Black, Light Sea Green, and Auspicious Cloud White colour options. It also comes with comprehensive durability certifications, including IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.
Display -
The REDMI Turbo 5 comes with the same Super Sunlight Screen technology as the Max model, using M10 luminescent material. The display offers up to 3500 nits peak brightness and supports Xiaomi’s Green Mountain Eye Protection technology. However, it features a slightly smaller 6.59-inch screen compared to the Turbo 5 Max.

Performance -
Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 8500-Ultra processor built on a 4nm process, making the Turbo 5 one of the first smartphones to feature this chipset. It is paired with LPDDR5 Ultra RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. For thermal management, the phone uses the same flagship-grade 3D ice-sealed circulating cold pump cooling system and also includes the latest “Rampage Engine,” which Xiaomi says enables integrated CPU, GPU, and DDR frequency tuning.
Additional features include kilometre-level wireless connectivity, seamless Apple device connectivity, file transfer support, and notification sharing.
Battery and Charging -
The REDMI Turbo 5 packs a large 7560mAh battery and supports 100W wired fast charging along with 27W wired reverse charging. It is also compatible with the 100W PPS fast charging protocol.
