Samsung used to be slow with software updates, but the tech giant has learnt from the past and has begun to change. Case in point are the recent updates to Android Marshmallow for even its 2-year-old Samsung Galaxy S5 and Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

I also received a minor software update on my Galaxy S6, the update was a mere 140MB to bring stability and performance improvements, but it shows that the company has not forgotten the device after the marshmallow update. Although software updates are nothing to cheer about, but expected atleast on flagship devices for which we pay quite a pretty penny, but atleast Samsung is catching up with the likes of Motorola and LG with software updates.

Samsung took some major decisions of updating its previous-gen flagships including the Marshmallow update for the Note 4 which arrived earlier than expected with some new features borrowed from the current flagships and the Note 5. The main reason behind the fast updates could be the toned down Samsung TouchWiz Skin, which we are all for.

I as an proud owner of a Samsung smartphone since many years can now and can again say that the company has finally found the right direction with great hardware like the S6, Note 5, S7 and is now concentration on making the Software experience better.
