Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) was launched in India today priced at Rs. 32,990. The new mid-range smartphone from the company will be available on exclusively starting January 20th 2018.

The new Galaxy A8 Plus packs in a 6-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ (18:9, 1080x2220 Pixels) Infinity display up front with Always-on Display mode. There's 6GB RAM onboard with 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB with a microSD card.

Samsung has changed the design of the phone from the previous variant. Apart from the tall design due to the 18:9 display, the fingerprint sensor has been moved to the back of the phone just below the main camera. It is therefore far more accessible.

All this is enclosed in an 8.3mm thin shell with a metal frame enclosed in glass on both sides. Samsung has gone with Gorilla Glass on both the front and back for added protection. Moreover, the A8+ also has IP68 dust and water resistance.

Coming to the cameras, on the back you get a 16-megapixel f/1.7 camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and LED Flash. In the front, there are dual cameras. A 16-megapixel main camera with f/1.9 aperture and a secondary 8-megapixel camera to capture depth information.

Connectivity options include dual-SIM 4G VoLTE support, dual-band WiFi ac, NFC, GPS and support for Samsung Pay as well. All this is powered by a 3500 mAh battery which is non-removable.  The A8+ runs on the Exynos 7885 octa-core processor with Mali-G71 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) will be going on sale starting January 20th, priced at Rs. 32,990. It will be available on exclusively.
