Samsung has just announced the Galaxy Ace 3, a new mid-range Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphone, which has a similar design to the Galaxy S4. The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 features a 1Ghz dual-core processor supported by 1GB of RAM, with just 4GB internal memory out of which only 1.77 is user accessible. But there's a microSD card slot which supports upto 64GB cards.

There's a 4-inch WVGA (800x480 pixels) TFT LCD upfront and a 5MP primary camera with LED flash capable of 720p video @ 30 FPS alongwith a VGA front facing camera for video calls. There will be two versions of the Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 namely, the 3G version and the LTE one, based on the markets they cater. The LTE version is a tad thicker at 10 mm opposed to 9.8 mm 3G version. The LTE version of the Galaxy Ace 3 has more space at 8GB compared to 4GB on the 3G model, then the processor too gets a speed-bump with the LTE version getting a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor while the 3G version has a 1Ghz dual-core processor.

The heavier LTE version (119.5 g) also has a bigger 1800mAh compared to the 1500mAh battery on the 3G Galaxy Ace 3 (115 g). In terms of connectivity you get Wi-fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS support. Samsung will also release a dual-sim version of the 3G model in some parts of the world.
