Samsung has confirmed the launch of its latest mid-range smartphone the Galaxy F42 5G in India on September 29th. It also confirmed the FHD+ 90Hz display, 64MP triple rear camera, and supports 12 5G bands. It will be powered by a 5000mAh battery that could support 15W fast charging.
Based on a Geekbench listing, the phone will be run on the Dimensity 700 processor with up to 6GB of RAM and the image from the Google Play Console listing also reveals a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, same as the Galaxy A22 5G. This could be the rebranded version of the Galaxy Wide 5 that was introduced in Korea last week.
This is the company's first 5G smartphone in the F series that will be exclusively sold on Flipkart Big Billion Sale, and the reveal calendar shows that will launch on September 29th. It could be available from October 7th during the Big Billion Days sale.
