Large display smartphones are all the rage now, 5.5-inch displays have become the norm. With Xiaomi launching the Mi Max with 6.44-inch display, Asus with its Zenfone 3 Ultra phablet at 6.8-inches, the line between smartphones and tablets is blurring. Enter Samsung, with the rumored Galaxy J Max which is supposed to come with a mammoth 7-inch display.
@evLeaks and SamMobile report that Samsung is set to launch the Galaxy J Max will come with the huge display and may launch soon. Not much information is available on the device, especially display resolution. But the J Max is expected to offer dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and FM Radio. It will possibly run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box as well.
I am still not convinced about such large screen devices, sure they can fit in your pockets if you try hard but they are simply not phones anymore. We are now simply substituting tablets for smartphones and its not a good trend.
