Samsung has launched its latest addition to its mid-range M series smartphones the Galaxy M55 5G in Brazil following widespread speculation. The device features a 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, maintaining consistency with its predecessor, albeit upgrading from the Exynos 1380 to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 SoC.
It is Equipped with 8GB of RAM with 256GB storage and runs on Android 14 with One UI 6, Samsung commits to providing four generations of Android updates and five years of security updates for the device. Notably, it introduces Samsung Knox Vault, a novel hardware-based security solution, marking its debut in the M series.
The phone boasts a 50MP rear camera with 1.5˚ OIS and VDIS, accompanied by an 8MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP macro lens. Additionally, it incorporates a 50MP front-facing camera. It Features an in-display fingerprint scanner, the Galaxy M55 5G houses a 5000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging, marking a first for the M series. However, it is noteworthy that the charger is not included in the package.

The Samsung Galaxy M55 is available in Dark Blue and Green color options, with a price tag of 3,199 Brazilian Real (equivalent to USD 640 or approximately Rs. 53,432) for the single variant featuring 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. However, a discount of 200 R$ is applicable during the sale period.
Samsung has also unveiled the Galaxy M15 5G in Brazil, although it's essentially a rebranded iteration of the Galaxy F15 5G, which made its debut in India earlier this month.
