Samsung Galaxy Mega Plus with quad-core internals goes official in China

Samsung has slapped a quad-core chip inside the 5.8-inch behemoth and is now calling it the Galaxy Mega Plus. The "new" phablet is listed on Samsung China website, but there's no word on availability of price. The Galaxy Mega Plus features the same 5.8-inch qHD (960 x 540 pixels) display but with a new quad-core processor of unknown make running a TouchWiz-ed Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. There's 1.5 GB of RAM to keep things running smooth.


There's an 8 MP camera at the back alongwith a 1.9 MP front-facing shooter. The battery has been pegged at 2600 mAh and the Galaxy Mega Plus comes with 8 GB of internal storage which is expandable. Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS with GLONASS support are also available.
