Samsung has already put aside the Note 7 fiasco and focusing on what's next. They are now focusing on bringing their current flagship models to Android 7.0 Nougat.

Word on the street is that Samsung has already begun testing Nougat builds for the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge. The two phones appeared on GeekBench running on the new build however there is no word on an OTA update yet.

It will take some more time to get Nougat on the Galaxy Note 7 given the S-Pen, Off-screen memo and other customization and Samsung has already specified a vague timeline of about 2-3 months. Just to give you a brief, Android Nougat brings native multi-window functionality which is already present on Samsung smartphones, but you do get Quick Reply in notifications and support for powerful Vulkan API.

Its worth noting that both the units seen in the benchmarks are running on the international Exynos 8890 SoC and not Snapdragon 820.
