Sony has launched its latest mid-range smartphone in the Xperia 10 series, the Xperia 10 VIII for the Global Market. The smartphone focuses on everyday usability and accessibility while bringing upgrades to display brightness, stereo audio, hardware shortcuts, and battery endurance.
Brighter Display and Adaptive Color Adjustment
The Xperia 10 VIII features a display that is approximately 50% brighter than its predecessor, improving visibility in outdoor environments. The panel also uses an automatic color-adjustment system that responds to ambient lighting conditions, helping optimize contrast and color reproduction when viewing maps or reading under bright sunlight.

Enhanced Front-Facing Stereo Speakers
Sony has upgraded the phone's front-facing stereo speaker system with several audio improvements:
- Higher Volume: Overall sound output is approximately 15% louder than the previous generation.
- Stronger Bass: Low-frequency output has been improved by more than 30% for a fuller audio experience.
- Improved Clarity: Enhanced stereo separation and clearer vocals provide a better media playback experience without requiring external speakers or headphones.
Convenient Navigation and Hardware Controls
The Xperia 10 VIII introduces a new “Rewards & Pay” shortcut designed to make digital payments more convenient. By double-pressing the side-mounted power button, users can quickly access supported payment methods and loyalty programs, making one-handed checkout easier.
Performance, Memory and Battery Life
The smartphone is equipped with a high-capacity battery designed to provide up to two days of typical usage on a single charge. Sony's battery management technology is also designed to reduce battery degradation, helping maintain battery health for up to four years of regular use.
For multitasking, the Xperia 10 VIII comes with 8GB of physical RAM and supports up to 6GB of virtual RAM expansion, allowing users to switch between applications more efficiently.
Design and Accessories
The Xperia 10 VIII features a translucent design with a transparent rear panel covered by a matte clear finish. Sony will offer the smartphone in three color options: Frozen White, Frosted Grey, and Misty Lilac.
Sony will also sell an optional dedicated style cover separately. The translucent accessory is designed to complement the phone and includes a dual-orientation kickstand, allowing users to position the device in either portrait or landscape mode for hands-free viewing.
