Xiaomi has launched its latest flagship smartphone in the 15 series, the Xiaomi 15 at an event in China, keeping in line with earlier announcements. The phone boasts a 6.36-inch 1.5K OLED flat M9 LTPO display, offering peak brightness of up to 3200 nits, an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate, and ultra-slim 1.38mm bezels for an immersive viewing experience.

The device features a flat, one-piece frame crafted from aviation-grade aluminum, with rounded corners and sharp edges, all designed within an ultra-narrow 71.2mm body to allow for comfortable one-handed use. It runs on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage, the Xiaomi 15 incorporates an advanced cooling system with a wing-shaped cold pump and vapour-liquid separation, providing a threefold improvement over traditional VC systems.

It has a triple rear camera setup that includes a 50MP primary camera with a large 1/1.31" sensor and f/1.62 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide lens, and a 50MP 2.6X telephoto lens, all featuring Leica Summilux optics and supported by Xiaomi’s AISP 2.0 computational photography platform. The phone also now includes an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner for added security. It is powered by a 5400mAh battery that supports 90W wired charging as well as 50W wireless and magnetic wireless charging.

In terms of aesthetics, the silver variant incorporates 3D hot-bent glass for a tactile wave effect. The phone is available in two high-gloss finishes—bright silver and bright black—and offers 20 custom colours, including vivid, highly saturated options for individual expression.

Xiaomi also introduced the Xiaomi 15 Diamond Limited Edition, featuring luxurious details such as a diamond-inlaid middle frame, available in glacier white, elephant grey, and orange with a Kona leather back panel styled in a crocodile skin texture for added elegance.
