Xiaomi has begun teasing the launch of its latest flagship smartphone in the 17 series, the Xiaomi 17 Max in China, marking the return of the Max variant to the Xiaomi 17 lineup. It features a design similar to the standard Xiaomi 17 and will be offered in Black, White, and Sky Blue colour options.
The company has confirmed that the device will sport a 6.9-inch Super Pixel display, which Xiaomi claims delivers a visual experience comparable to a 2K panel. The phone is also set to feature a 200MP primary camera with a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and f/1.65 aperture, along with a 3x telephoto lens and Leica optics. Powering the device will be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, the same chipset used across the Xiaomi 17 series. It will also pack a massive 8000mAh battery, making it the largest battery among all Xiaomi 17 series models.
Xiaomi has additionally shared a camera sample captured using the 200MP main sensor. Popular tipster Digital Chat Station claims the device will support 100W fast charging and include an ultra-wide camera with an f/2.4 aperture.
Alongside the smartphone, Xiaomi is expected to unveil the Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro, which the company describes as lightweight and comfortable for all-day wear. Measuring just 9.7mm thick and weighing 21.6g, the wearable will feature an aluminum alloy frame and a slightly curved display for a smooth touch experience. Xiaomi says the band can deliver up to 21 days of battery life.
The company will also introduce the Xiaomi Band 10 Pro Ceramic Edition. Xiaomi says the ceramic construction combines durability with a premium tactile feel, while the fluoroelastomer strap is designed to be soft, skin-friendly, and comfortable to wear.
These new products are expected to debut later this May, with the official launch date likely to be announced soon.
