Asus has launched its new big-battery Zenfone 3 Max smartphones in Malaysia. The Zenfone 3 Max is the most affordable smartphone in the current line-up and the only one running on a MediaTek processor.
The ZF3 Max runs on the new MediaTek MT6737M processor which is an upgrade over the MT6735 we saw last year on budget devices including several Coolpad and Meizu devices. There's 3GB RAM on offer with 32GB expandable storage, however there is a 2GB RAM / 16GB storage variant as well.
But that's not what the Max series has been about. You get a massive 4100 mAh battery here which can also charge other devices with USB OTG but its still smaller than the 5000 mAh battery on last-gen Zenfone Max model. But you are getting a smaller, more petite build this time around. The Zenfone 3 Max has a 5.2-inch display as opposed to 5.5-inch previously keeping the same 720x1280 pixels HD resolution.
